CITATIONS OF REFERENCES IN THE TEXT

As an example are some ways to cite by author (a), which allows the reader to identify the references in the text.

Both quotations in the text and references at the end of it will be made according to the rules of the American Psychological Association (APA).

1. Work with one author

- In a 1990 paper, Esquivel explores some characteristics of human behavior.....
- Among the characteristics of human behavior (Esquivel, 1990).....
- Esquivel (1990) stated that the characteristics of human behavior....

2. Work with multiple authors

- When a work has two authors, each time the reference occurs in the text should include both.
- When a work has three or more authors, all cited in the first reference is included in the text. In the following excerpts from the same job, it is only mentioned the name of the first author, followed by et al. and year of publication:
Example:

- Melgarejo, Redecilla and Martinez (2007) stated that ....
(First quoted in the text)
- Melgarejo et al. (2007) stated that....
(Next citations in the text)

- When different authors are cited within the same parentheses are sorted alphabetically.

- When a citation is transcribed verbatim in the text and it has fewer than 40 words, it must be enclosed in quotation marks in the same paragraph. If the citation exceeds 40 words, it should be placed in a separate paragraph without quotation marks and the paragraph must be indented five spaces.

  REFERENCES AT END OF TEXT

The references will appear at the end of the text and will be ordered alphabetically by author's surname followed by initials of first names, double spaced with hanging indent. In the case of electronic documents, currently not all documents have DOI (Digital Object Identifier), but if any should be included as part of the reference.
